Notes from the studio.
There is work that happens beyond the celebrations.
A quieter work, made of reading, travel, observation and presence. Visits to properties, conversations with hosts, lunches at hotels that deserve to be experienced before being recommended, small discoveries that later find their place at a table, in a letter, in a welcome gesture or in a project decision.
This notebook gathers those notes.

Welcomed by Sergio Campailla, Hotel Manager, with a generosity that felt entirely unscripted, what began as a site inspection quietly became something else. A courtesy boat trip to Ortigia revealed the property through its relationship with the sea, the calm rhythm of breakfast, the quiet refinement of a place that does not need to announce itself.
Luxury is not what is placed on the table. It is the temperature of the room when you enter. The name remembered without being asked. The pause between courses that nobody choreographed, but that everyone felt.
